Dr. John Wahlen

Dr. John Wahlen grew up in Sandy, Utah, and attended Utah State University, where he met his wife, Taylor. During his time at Utah State, he served as a University Ambassador, visiting high schools across the state, giving campus tours, and scooping plenty of Aggie ice cream along the way.
After graduating, Dr. Wahlen earned his dental degree from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. While living in Columbus, he and Taylor enjoyed cheering on the Buckeyes, attending the Memorial golf tournament, and exploring their favorite local restaurants.
Following dental school, Dr. Wahlen practiced in St. George, Utah. Although they loved southern Utah, he and his family ultimately wanted to be back in northern Utah to be close to extended family.
Dr. Wahlen’s favorite part of dentistry is building relationships and helping patients feel at ease—especially those in pain or who experience dental anxiety. His goal is to create a comfortable, stress-free environment for every patient.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Wahlen enjoys golfing and spending quality time with his wife and two kids. He is a member of the American Dental Association and is fluent in Spanish.
